Our teachings are based on the practice and theory of
Hatha Yoga as taught by the Himalayan Masters. The program is
structured into periodic seminars, workshops and classes designed to
teach you the principles of yoga postures (asana), breathing techniques
(pranayama), systematic relaxation, meditation, and mantra.
The coursework also includes a comprehensive study in
anatomy and physiology. In yoga philosophy you will be introduced to
the universal truths of the Yoga Sutras of Pantanjali, The Vedanta
– a compilation of the Vedas and Upanishads, Sanskrit and the
study the Yamas and Niyamas in relationship to your life and the ethics
of a yoga
teacher.
Reading from textbooks, keeping daily yoga and
meditation journals and writing papers are required. You will also
teach, observe and assist/correct classes in a supportive environment
at Yoga on Orange.
Our yoga teacher training has been approved by The
National Yoga Alliance since 2007. Upon completion of the program you
will be certified by YOGA on Orange and registered with the National
Yoga Alliance.
